GREEN DEAL, ENERGY COMPANY OBLIGATIONS AND TRADITIONAL BUILDINGS

Historic Scotland have produced the above Technical Paper (No. 17), a reworking of the earlier material issued in Technical Paper 16, seeking to further update homeowners and building professionals on some of the considerations when planning Green Deal measures in older buildings.
Three properties are documented – a sandstone cottage in south west Scotland, a sandstone tenement flat in central Scotland and a granite cottage in north east Scotland.
Technical Paper 17 is complimentary reading to Technical Paper 16 and a further Paper will also be issued in due course considering the Green Deal modelling software and its use on older traditionally built properties.

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to expand our rural practice department. Our office is based at Pluscarden, near Elgin, Moray. We currently have a staff of 15 and our core activity is property consultancy and rural estate management.
We are currently accepting applications for both a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor as well as a Trainee Chartered Surveyor.
The successful applicants will join our rural practice team, which consists of four fully qualified land agents. Both positions are full-time, working Monday to Friday, and salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
