LAST WEEK FOR RESPONSES

TO THE ABERDEENSHIRE MAIN ISSUES REPORT

Aberdeen Council are reviewing the current Local Plan and replacing it with a “Local Development Plan”. The Local Development Plan will provide the local interpretation of National Planning Guidance issued by the Scottish Government and also the Structure Plan for Aberdeen city and shire.

The Main Issues Report of the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan is now being consulted upon and comments are to be submitted to Aberdeenshire Council by 6th July 2009.

The Main Issues Report identifies the choices for development in the Aberdeenshire area, including locations where development should and should not occur. This is a key document for early engagement on the Local Development Plan, as Aberdeenshire Council has not taken a firm view on the strategy to be followed. Therefore, if you wish to make a representation in relation to the Main Issues Report, it is essential that your comments are submitted by 6th July 2009 deadline.

At Bowlts, the Planning Department have many years of experience in the Development Plan Review process and would be happy to assist you in making any representation.
